Our Mission
The Center for Allergy, Asthma & Eczema Education (CAAEE) was founded with a simple observation: millions of Americans are undertreated, misinformed, or unaware of modern treatment options for the chronic conditions that affect their daily lives. We exist to close that gap.
CAAEE publishes evidence-based articles, patient stories, and educational resources designed to help people understand their conditions, evaluate their treatment options, and make informed decisions about their health. Our content is reviewed by board-certified allergists, dermatologists, and pulmonologists to ensure accuracy and clinical relevance.
What We Cover
Our editorial focus spans the three most common chronic immune-mediated conditions in the United States: allergic rhinitis and food allergies (affecting over 50 million Americans), asthma (affecting 25 million), and atopic dermatitis/eczema (affecting 31 million). These conditions are deeply interconnected — sharing immune pathways, genetic risk factors, and often co-occurring in the same patients — yet they're typically treated in isolation by different specialists.
CAAEE takes an integrated approach, covering topics across all three conditions with an emphasis on emerging treatments, telehealth access, immunotherapy, and the science behind modern allergy and dermatology care.
Our Editorial Standards
Every article published on CAAEE.org is written or reviewed by healthcare professionals with relevant clinical expertise. Medical statistics and clinical data cited in our articles are sourced from peer-reviewed research, published clinical trials, and recognized medical organizations including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
When we reference treatment outcomes, efficacy data, or safety profiles, we cite the underlying research. We distinguish clearly between established clinical evidence and emerging research, and we note where expert opinion differs from consensus guidelines.
Advertising & Sponsorship
CAAEE.org is partially supported by advertising revenue and sponsorship partnerships with healthcare companies, including Curex. This financial support allows us to provide free educational content to readers. Sponsored content and affiliate relationships are disclosed in our Disclaimer.
While sponsorship may influence which topics and products are featured, it does not influence the clinical accuracy of our content. Advertising relationships are managed separately from editorial decisions, and our clinical reviewers are not compensated by advertisers.
Patient Stories
Our Patient Stories section features first-person accounts from real patients sharing their experiences with various treatments and healthcare providers. These stories are lightly edited for clarity and readability. Some identifying details may be changed to protect privacy. Patient stories represent individual experiences and results may vary — as noted in our Disclaimer.
